Pockets of Sunshine In Our Community 2022
The Rays ended the year with a Christmas lunch provided by Rob Jordan of the Serg Group. His team presented the Rays with a check from the Hogtoberfest.

Once again we find ourselves coming to the end of another bright year. We have continued to experience exponential growth in almost all aspects. We have welcomed new Rays, volunteers and friends into our sunshine family, resulting in an additional day being added to our weekly programming in order to help alleviate our waitlist. And thanks in part to the purchase of our community access vehicle, the ‘Pockets Party Bus,’ we have been out and about, participating and plugging in to our community more than ever before! But the growth felt different this year in a very important and wonderful way. This year, we found that our asks had turned into invitations. We have worked relentlessly over the past few years to find and cultivate new opportunities for the adults we serve. When something proves worthwhile, we add it to our regular rotation, but we are always on the lookout for exciting, meaningful and fresh activities. We have built incredible relationships and this year we saw so much of these efforts come to fruition. Our calendar stayed packed with educational programming, singing and dancing, exciting new social opportunities, visits from special guests and new and old friends (including many of the furry, fourlegged variety), markets and festivals, surfing, horseback riding, new screenprinting projects and more community
outings than ever before. The opportunities abound and they would not be possible without this incredible community inviting us to take part. We always say, it takes a village, and we are eternally grateful to be part of such a special one that sees the true value of the Rays. Thank you!!
